Try to avoid pre-paid day care or boarding passes. Please read about our very disappointing experience because this may save you the frustration and well ... your money. My husband and I have spent close to $2,500.00 in the past year at The Animal Park between day care, boarding, and dog treats. We have always called in advance to schedule a day care or boarding visit and we always picked up our furry companion when we said we would. Our situation changed unexpectedly, which left us no choice but to re-home our dog. To make the staff aware, we brought this to their attention. After we found another home for him, we realized that we had four remaining day care passes. I was completely aware that they would not offer a refund for those days, which I understood. However, I thought it would only be fair if they would allow me to at least apply those remaining funds to items in their store. I was beyond disappointed after speaking with J.J., the owner, to find out that this was something he was not willing to allow me to do. All things considered, I do not believe that what I was asking for was unreasonable. As stated, I understand the no refund policy in place, but what I do not understand or agree with is when a business owner is not willing to accommodate or make an exception in certain situations. In our case, not allowing any remaining funds to be applied towards items in their store. in my opinion, is unfair and very selfish of this business owner. I believe 60% or possibly more of customers gained at a place of business, such as The Animal Park, are by word of mouth. Due to our experience, I have made it point to find every site linked to The Animal Park so that I can hopefully share our story to prevent this from happening to some one else. There are many facilities that offer the same services in that area that not only appreciate their customers but also ensure fair and reasonable business practices. I would highly recommend supporting these doggy day care/boarding facilities before you decide to support J.J. and his business at The Animal Park in Ogden. view short comment

I am not sure what the previous person is talking about, but we have been taking our dogs here for over a year, and the best thing about the Animal Park is the owners, J.J. & Debbie. They always greet you and ask how your trip was. They seem to really care. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else.

Taking our dog here a while and it seems the owner wants a tip each time we pick up our dog. We don't tip him and each time we see him he is very unfriendly and unapproachable. He has no idea what customer service is. Our dog acts very strange and afraid when he comes back from the kennel, especially towards men. Today we picked up our two dogs, a lab and a pug, after their first stay at the Animal Park. We were very impressed with the facility as well as with the owners. They were kind and patient with me as I gave specific concerns and instructions regarding each of our dogs. When we left them on Friday, both dogs were apprehensive. When we picked them up today, they were happy and seemed to have had a very good time. The owners were all smiles with very good personalized reports on each dog. We are so happy to have a dog daycare place in Ogden were our little Shih tzu can play. Jasmine loves to go and runs right in wailing her tail, she can't wait to go play with the other dogs. Plus the small dogs are in a different area then big dogs. Also it always smells good and very clean which is a plus for us.
