Dog Boarding Facilities in Louisiana

My boys (two dogs) had a great experience staying at Mel's for a few days while we went out of town for a wedding. They came home happy and tired after staying busy with the other dogs. The prices are reasonable and she texted me everyday to let me know how they were doing. I will definitely use Mel's in the future and recommend to anyone I know.

I would rather stay home and not vacation than leave my dogs with just anyone. However, I had to leave for just a day and did not want to leave my dogs indoors for 9 hours. We have never left our first baby (our Basset Hound, Diesel) in a boarding facility before, so we were a bit nervous about leaving him. We had heard excellent things about Mel's Kennels and Mel herself. All expectations were met! After meeting and interacting with Mel, we knew he was in good hands! I have used Mel's twice now for my 2 big boys and have been pleased both times. My dogs can be a handful (2 arm-fulls, actually), yet I trust Mel because she is passionate about what she's doing. I love that I can text her or check Facebook to check in on them, the "report cards" I received in the mail after our 2nd visit made it up on our fridge. I cound not have ask for a better place for my two furry boys to stay. My boys came home worn out which makes me know they had a fantastic time with Mel. After meeting her I felt good about taking my boys there. Great facility, awesome atmosphere, and very well kept(it didn't even have doggy smell). It was a blessing to find her and I know my furry boys think so too.

The only place I'll board my dogs! Mel takes excellent care and loves them as if they would be hers. Her Kennels are always clean, there's lots of shade and a nice breeze going on. They also get lots of play time and go out on walks. If you want to board your dog you should definitely consider Mel!

Our beautiful fur baby had a blast with Mel while we were on vacation while my husband was home for R&R! Kennels are clean, shaded, and so well taken care of. Next time we can't take our sweetie with us we will so be bringing her back out

This is the only place I will ever feel comfortable bringing my dog. Our dog needs special attention and we really feel that is what he got. Mel kept us updated about how are dog was adjusting during the week and it made the vacation so much beeter knowing he was with such a great kennel. Mel is awesome!!! my dog sadie got so excited when she saw the other dogs. she was having so much fun when i picked her up that she didn't even notice me. the kennels were very clean and well taken care of. we will definitely use Mel again

I will definitely take my dogs back to mel's. The kennel were cleans with nice doghouses and plenty of shade. Most importantly, you can tell immediately that Mel loves animals.

Mel is super sweet and nice, even when my dog wasn't thrilled the first time he met her. But she was great with him and won him over (something not easily done) and I felt comfortable leaving him in her care. I also love that she posts updates on Facebook and is willing to send texts to keep you updated on your pet.

Great facility. Convenient drop-off, pick-up on the way to the airport. Clean and clearly well-cared for kennels. Mel was great, accomodating me at the last minute and again when a change of plans delayed my return trip. I loved that Buddy got daily walks and personal attention, too. Great to have someone I can trust board my dog when I have to go away!
