Dog Boarding Facilities in Pennsylvania

My family and I went on a beach vacation so I boarded my 6-month-old beagle mix here. I boarded her at this same place a month ago and nothing seemed to go wrong. This time is a different story. She had previously had a little rash on her belly but was almost completely healed minus a few bumps. When I dropped her off, I showed the guy at the kennel the bumps and specifically told him to call me right away if it comes back or gets any worse. He said they would and they would keep an eye on it. I did not receive one phone call during the week which gave me the impression that everything was okay. When I picked her up, I could not believe my eyes. She looked like a homeless dog with a flesh-eating virus. Her entire belly, girl area, chest arms, inside of her ears were absolutely covered. Her arms, legs, hips had sores on them and fur missing. The most significant areas were the top of her head which was missing half of her fur and was just covered with some sort of skin infection/growth. I lifted her head and saw a huge open soar on her neck. I looked at the woman at the kennel and said "How could you not see all of this?? and if you did, why was I not called?!" My poor dog was skinny, shaking, and in pain. The woman at this kennel claimed she didn't notice anything on her body, and that the top of her head looked like that when I dropped her off, which is completely crazy!! She did not take responsibility nor did she apologize. Also when I picked up the dog, there was dog poop all over the outside part of her cage. I don't even know if they fed her properly either. It is clear that this woman and this kennel DID NOT take proper care of my dog and maybe others. She completely neglected this poor thing. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE. THEY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEM! view short comment
