Dog Boarding Facilities in Alaska

My parents recently dropped their lovable Blue Heeler off for 10 days at this supposed "caring" facility. After returning from their trip they came home to find their pet had severe burn marks around his neck. When questioned about the mistreatment of their beloved dog, the facility admitted to the excessive use of a "SHOCK COLLAR!" If I could post pictures on this review you would be appalled! Not only did this facility shock this sweet dog into submission, leaving bloody burn marks all over his neck, but no one was called to report the incident. NOT EVEN A VET! DO NOT RISK YOUR PETS LIFE WITH THIS INHUMANE PLACE! I leave you with this shock collar information: "Dogs wearing shock collars can suffer from physical pain and injury (ranging from burns to cardiac fibrillation) and psychological stress, including severe anxiety and displaced aggression. Individual animals vary in their temperaments and pain thresholds; a shock that seems mild to one dog may be severe to another. The anxiety and confusion caused by repeated shocks can lead to changes in the heart and respiration rate or gastrointestinal disorders. Electronic collars can also malfunction, either administering nonstop shocks or delivering no shocks at all." view short comment
