*Fleas!* This was the second time our dog has been to the pet resort here in PTC. The first time, we had some mixed feelings as we brought her home and she sat next to her water bowl and we had to refill it twice because she was drinking so much. It seemed as if she had no water while there. The second time: We picked her up yesterday and she did the same thing! She never drinks all that much at one time and when we brought her home, she was panting like crazy, sluggish and wouldn't stop drinking her water. After a couple hours, she jumped onto our couch to hang with us and noticed she kept biting her legs. I turned her over and she was covered in fleas. More fleas than we've ever seen on any animal, we spent the next 5 hours and $50 getting rid of them off her and thanks to the pet resort, our house too. We checked with her grooming place, since she was groomed a couple days before we dropped her at the pet resort, and they always check and didn't notice any, and said dog kennels are breeding grounds for fleas. The best part; we called to let them know in case of risk to any of the other dogs, and to see what they could do. They responded with "It can't be our place because we've never had complaints before. So it must be that you have fleas in your house and in your carpet. We can't do anything about it." Wow, great customer service. We called the Better Business Bureau and found that this has been the third complaint about the pet resort. Do not risk not having your pet being taken care of. We absolutely do not recommend this place and are bummed that we've recommended them in the past. view short comment
