Dog Boarding Facilities in Michigan

I would NEVER purchase a puppy from a kennel who operates like this. Absolutely heartless. view short comment

I left my handsome dog in this kennel's care for a week during an out-of -state move and was very disappointed with the care the dog received. I don't believe he was ever let out of his kennel. He too lost weight, and okay, I realize that the dogs can be stressed and not want to eat, but the overall experience just didn't sit right with me. I left my handsome dog in this kennel's care for a week during an out-of -state move and was very disappointed with the care the dog received. I don't believe he was ever let out of his kennel. He too lost weight, and okay, I realize that the dogs can be stressed and not want to eat, but the overall experience just didn't sit right with me. I also got an accuse as to why I couldnt see where he was to be boarded, he stunk to high heaven. Believe me, I know dogs don't smell rosey after a kennel visit, but he STUNK and had even been groomed on pick up day. That was the purpose of the grooming at the end of his visit, to take him home smelling good. I've never been to a kennel that bathed and groomed a dog and stuck him back into the kennel afterwards. They have always been left in a separate area until pick up. The grooming itself was ridiculous. He's a sporting dog... any groomer should be familiar with a typical sporting dog outline. I asked for his feathers to be reshaped nicely and take his coat down a little. They took all his feathers off. They took and clipped his beautiful, long, ear hair and trimmed it right up to the ear leather. Are you serious? He looked like a Saint Bernard, not an English setter! .... and no, I didnt ask for a field clip. view short comment

We dropped our dog (Buster) off at this Kennel for 4 days. When we dropped him off the owner was very snotty and short with us. Not comforting or very pleasant at all. I asked to see where our dog will be staying and she told me she had too many dogs being groomed at the moment. We dropped our dog (Buster) off at this Kennel for 4 days. When we dropped him off the owner was very snotty and short with us. Not comforting or very pleasant at all. I asked to see where our dog will be staying and she told me she had too many dogs being groomed at the moment. That didn't make us feel very comfortable but we went against our better judgement and left him anyways. We picked him up one day early and he stunk to high heaven! He was scratching at his face and ears and chewing on his feet. He has a food allergy and we told them before we left him that he can Only have the food that we brought for him. Anyways, this was yesterday that we picked him up...he has been very sick with very bad diarrhea. I am taking him to our vet tomorrow. We can only hope and pray that this is not too serious! view short comment

Please check on your dog IN PERSON while in this kennel's care. My dog, a Rottie mix, started at 70 lbs. when we dropped her off. She had seen the vet immediately before being boarded. After staying there one month, she lost 33 pounds!!! When I called them to check on her, they told me she was doing fine. After staying there one month, she lost 33 pounds!!! When I called them to check on her, they told me she was doing fine. After being picked up, my dog continued deteriorating in health. 2 weeks after the kennel I had to take her to a veterinary emergency room. She was in terrible pain and would not eat. I spoke to the owner and staff of the kennel and they were belligerent and completely unapologetic about not informing me that my dog was miserable enough to lose HALF her Total weight while she was in their care. They refused to apologize and they only sneered at me when I said that i wished they had called me. Please do not automatically trust them to take care of your dog. We're still praying that our dog will recover and not have to be put down. view short comment

Love this place! Never have to worry about my pets. Very surprised at the other comment as I have never been treated rudely and on a few occasions they have waited late for me to arrive. I would take the other comment with a grain of salt but sounds more like they were the ones having a bad day.

We have a diabetic dog and while she agreed to keep taking him after being diagnosed, she refused to listen to anything we had to say about his routine and needs. Incorrect care could kill him! On the last visit she acted as though she had never even seen them before. I see in the newspaper that they are having tax problems and maybe that is the reason for her irritability, but there is no excuse for the way she talks to people. We picked our dogs up early on the last stay and took them somewhere else for their grooming which she indicated she was far too busy to do. I don't know what is going on at this facility, but I would recommend staying far, far away. view short comment
