Very poor. They do not care about your pet. I picked up my cat after 4 days' boarding. It was 1 1/2 hrs after they opened and NONE OF THE CATS HAD WATER, let alone food in their cubicles. No apology from the owner, either. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!!!

Although the dogs seem to do fine here, you can never get ahold of the staff on the phone they just don't answer, the latest problem is they are supposed to open at 7:30 am and I had an appointment to get my dogs, no one here, phones not answered and a closed sign in the window. Will probably never use them again as they seem unreliable at best.

The owners are super nice and are so sweet to our dogs. We have boarded with Eagle Caves several times now and each time our boy and girl are so thrilled to be back, they start barking with excitment even before the car tires hit the parking lot! The facility is clean and modern and they have a large back play yard with toys for the dogs to run and play all day long at no extra charge during their... view full comment

The owners are super nice and are so sweet to our dogs. We have boarded with Eagle Caves several times now and each time our boy and girl are so thrilled to be back, they start barking with excitment even before the car tires hit the parking lot! The facility is clean and modern and they have a large back play yard with toys for the dogs to run and play all day long at no extra charge during their stay! The price for boarding and grooming is very reasonable. We're so glad Eagle Caves Pet Resort is here in The Dalles, I don't know what we'd do with out them! view short comment

My husband and I explained our dog was shy around humans but loved other dogs and socialization during her visit with other dogs was important. My husband and I explained our dog was shy around humans but loved other dogs and socialization during her visit with other dogs was important. When I called to check on Kokua I got conflicting reports on her activity. First I was told she was not around other dogs then when I asked why if something had happened was told she was around the other dogs. Kokua uses a leader to come at the dog park and we explained this to Gregg however the next day his wife was upset she could not get Kokua to come in. She informed me she would have left her outside if it had been safe and charged us an extra fee for "special needs" and to account for her time. I will be the first to admit Kokua is skittish, however her progress has been amazing and she plays everyday at the dog park with other dogs. I respect the challenge she can pose when around a new stranger, however as a pet resort you should have compassion and patience and tell customers up front about "special needs" fees. Also, when I picked her up she was limping. I called twice prior to taking her to the vet to see if this was noted during her stay. In an unfriendly manner, I was told it could be sheet grass allergy or an injury when the owner was trying to get her to come inside. If your dog is shy or requires extra attention not the place to go. view short comment

The staff was knowledgeable,friendly and caring to my pets during their stay. I'm definitely recommending them to my friends.
