Dog Boarding Facilities in Texas

I left my dogs and prepaid for services not given. When i picked my dogs up they had fleas and smelled of pee. The owner texted me while on my vacation telling me that my dog was stressed out and she wouldnt do playgroup or grooming due to this. I would have hoped a professional and eduacated staff could have handled this, but i guess not. Whe i picked the dogs up the owner tried to say that it was due to me not aclimating my dogs to the environment that they could not do their job. When i first went i prepaid for a membership and all the boarding cost, grooming and playgroup. The owner has not refunded and hasnt answered my facebook messages or emails. She did however call me at 10 at night after i sent a message. very unprofessional. I havent recieved a refund or an email stating an intent. Very unhappy. Next time, if i ever board my dogs again, I will choose a much more professional place. . view short comment

I have known the owners for about 12 years and have been using them for 10 years. The owner is one of the hardest working and caring for animals that i know. "old dog with new name" you should be proud to see a female succeed so well. I own a cocker spaniel and a German Shepard. I took my dogsthere for grooming and it was incredible. The owner really knows about dogs and the grooimng was the BEST that my cocker has ever had (he is 6 years old). They treated my Shepard like he was the King. My cocker is a very nervous dog and he does not do good with being groomer. There a Barking Oaks they took the time to work with him no ot... view full comment

Snippers Pet Grooming under a different name but with a nicer facility. Just be sure that services promised were services delivered. Not a very good track record in that regard.

I took my dog there and specifically asked for them to use a medicated shampoo (which I provided) and they did not listen to my request. They ended up using 2 of their own medications in addition to mine and my dog had a terrible, red rash all over his stomach that had to be treated by our vet. It ended up costing me an additional $125 to get his rash treated because of their carelessness. Also, the groomer didn't do a great job and there was no "blending" of the dog's hair. The place itself (building) is nice, but the employees are rather strange and loud. I would never go here again!!!! Save your money and go elsewhere!!!! view short comment

This is the nicest place in central texas The staff is very knowledgeable about the animals. They suprised me when they told me that 2 of the staff members were CPR certified. I feel very safe leaving my pet here. I am a member of Barking Oaks Pet Resort
