Dog Boarding Facilities in Washington DC

If you're looking for terse, indifferent customer service, rough treatment of your best friends, and lazy, inept managements, look no further. Seems to be run by people who hate dogs. I would stay away

This place is horrible, rude and it appears that they have moved into a new building and as it seems they don't have a license for the space. Additionally, there was dog droppings all over the area in back. Nasty and rude just doesn't get it for my pet.

When I went to Little Rascals Doggie Day Care and Boarding, LLC facility at 5917 Georgia Ave, NW, in Washington, DC 20011 for my first-time boarding consultation meeting with Debbie Gomes, the owner, I was delayed by a traffic accident about 5 blocks from her establishment on Missouri Avenue. On the hour of the meeting, I called from my cell phone and told Debbie I was only 5 blocks away but was caught in traffic slowed to a crawl by an accident. She asked me when I thought I would be there. At the pace the traffic was moving, I answered I should be there in 10 minutes or so. When I arrived 12 minutes later, I saw Debbie in the parking lot talking with some people. I quickly parked and started walking to her. She also walked towards me. As I started to apologize for the delay and thank her, Debbie sharply told me that I would have to reschedule. I asked her why. She said because I told her I would be there in 10 minutes and wasn't so she cannot see me now. I reminded her that I was on the other side of the accident but got there as soon as the police allowed us around the emergency vehicles. I had to wait two weeks for this first available Saturday appointment which she told me was a requirement for 1st-time dogs. While making this appointment, Debbie said this meeting generally lasts an hour but can be as long as 1-1/2 hour. So I told her there is still an hour & 15 mins. left to meet and my little dog is friendly and has boarded at an open kennel facility before so we would not need the lost 15 minutes anyway. I told her that I came from the other side of town for this meeting, waited two weeks for this next available Saturday appointment and was going out of the country the following weekend so I would reallly appreciate her making this an exception. Suddenly, without saying a word, Debbie turned, walked away from me, and rejoined the party she was talking to when I drove up. I was stunned at her rudeness. She didn't apologize for her inflexibility or even say goodbye. I stood there for about 30 seconds but Debbie never looked my way, totally ignored me With this type of "customer service", I decided I DID NOT want to board my pet there anyway. If Debbie can easily treat humans so rudely, how might she treat our loving pets that cannot speak. Consider this business at your own risk. view short comment
