Welcome to Tradewinds Pet Suites, one of Leeward Oahu's best-kept secrets. Located in sunny Lualualei Valley, we're a small, family-operated kennel. We offer all oversized, fresh-air kennels, each featuring a cozy indoor area that opens directly into its own, private 25-foot outdoor run. Guests are free to relax inside or enjoy the outdoors as they choose. We also offer two huge, fully fenced "play yards." These spacious grassy areas, complete with mature Palm and Mango trees, provide a place where our guests can run, roll, play and generally do the things dogs love to do.
Accommodations
We offer exclusively "over-sized" guestrooms -- no crates or cages. Accommodations are available in three sizes -- our Double King Suites accommodate two compatible members of the same Ohana. These suites offer 270 square feet of living space (30' long x 9' wide) with two separate indoors areas, each 4.5' x 3.5'.
Our King Kennels are 30' x 6' and include an indoor area that is 6' x 3.5'
Our Queen Kennels are 30' long by 4.5' wide and include an indoor area that is approximatley 4.5' x 3.5'.
Checklist
For the health and well-being of all our guests, we require a written certificate from your veterinarian showing current vaccinations.
DHLLP (Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis and Leptospiroris) must have been given with the past year (or within the past 3 years if your vet gave a 3-year vaccine). A Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine is required within 6 months of boarding -- sorry, no exceptions. Pets are also required to wear a tick collar while staying with us. If you're not sure your pet is properly immunized, please call us and we will be glad to help answer your questions.
All guests must be parasite-free and provide documentation of being on heartworm and parasite prevention programs such as Sentinel, Frontline, Revolution or Advantage, etc.
All guests must have had a bath within 24 hours of arrival at Tradewinds Pet Suites.

Since we travel often, it was important for us to find a facility for our Shiba Inu Dobi that would offer a suitable environment without adding additional stress. We are SO grateful to have found Tradewinds. It's the only place we entrust with our dogs when we travel. Daisy and Keiko have become regular guests. Sandy and her assistant were so friendly and great to work with. We immediately felt comfortable about leaving our dog, Hoku, in their care. Hoku was made to feel very comfortable, seemed well-adjusted throughout her stay, and even lost a few pounds through their exercise program! We would most highly recommend Tradewinds Pet Suites as your pet's "home away from home!"

We went to Europe last year and were lucky enough to find Tradewinds Pet Suites on short notice (our previous place canceled 10 days prior). B/C of our previous experience, we were cautious in taking our dogs to a new place. Our German Shepard and 2 Toy Poodles stayed wtth you while we took a quick trip to Vegas. Being new to the Island and having to find a kennel for the first time, we can't believe our great fortune to find the best we're ever experienced anywhere. Our Aussie mix stayed while we went to Oregon and was able to extend her stay, as our plans had changed. We could tell she (Bailey) had a blast and enjoyed herself. The staff is very friendly and we would recommend Tradewinds to anyone!!!!

I am so thankful to have found Sandy and tradewinds. It is really hard for me to leave my "babies" when I travel but when I do have to go they will never stay anywhere other than Tradewinds.
